Please make an effort to make it this year as we have a great hotel and some super activities. I just signed the contract for the hotel so we can start booking. Please call 920-494-7300 and let the person taking the reservation know it is for the "Hopsten Air Force Reunion Room Block". We will all be located in one wing and at the end of the wing we have our own hospitality room and a comp Suite right next to it if needed for overflow. The hotel is Radisson, and is located right across from the Green Bay Airport with free shuttle service. The rooms are simply gorgeous and I did get them to come down $10 so now they are only $79 each and that includes hot/cold breakfast. FYI, for those who want a smoking room, it will be in a different wing as they have gone pretty much non-smoking. If you want to come in earlier or stay later, you should be able to get the same room rate. Call me if you have problems.
Activities: EAA 2010 AirVenture with the Airbirds and thousands of interesting aircraft. Chuck Yeager and many astronauts attend. There will be golfing, museums, Lambeau Field tour ect for those interested. Heck, I might even line up a get together with Brett Favre....OK Just kidding, but I did coach their daughter-Brittany for volleyball in 7th & 8th grade. If anyone has a good idea just call me at 920-490-9944.
I will need to know how many are interested for the EAA event as I will line up a bus if enough are interested. For now you can look at the website and get the history and what they did for 09. please let me know right away if you will attend. Cost will be $35 for a day pass and (TBD) for transportation. This is a huge show (700,000 for the week) and things get booked early. The sooner you can tell me the better. They will start putting things If there is anyone you would like to try to get as a guest speaker just let me know and we can work on it. Please make an honest effort to attend. If there is anyone not on this list, please send them a letter for me or let me know their address and I will mail an invite. If there is anyone who knows of Germans stationed at Hopsten, please invite them as well.
Any questions, feel free to call me 920-490-9944 - Tom Lehrer
